Before Midnight (2022)
The self-initiated illustration is inspired by the short story “The Masque of the Red Death” by Edgar Allan Poe. It aims to depict the absurdity of the party with bright colors contrasting against the Red Death.
The title of this work comes from the paragraph: “But these other apartments were densely crowded, and in them beat feverishly the heart of life. And the revel went whirlingly on, until at length there commenced the sounding of midnight upon the clock.”
